About Our Clinic

The Breast Care Centre

Dr Susannah Graham (L) and A/Prof Cindy Mak (R)

The Breast Care Centre is a Sydney breast clinic born from decades of helping women — and men — navigate a pathway through Breast Cancer.

We’re a multidisciplinary clinic, with breast cancer surgeons and specialist breast physicians working alongside each other to provide people with breast cancer and other breast conditions expert consultation and treatment.

We’re also an all-women team, led by breast cancer surgeons Associate Professor Cindy Mak, and Dr Susannah Graham. We’re located in the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Camperdown, in the inner-west of Sydney.

Surgeons and physicians, side-by-side

As well as A/Prof Cindy Mak and Dr Susannah Graham, our team also has two breast physicians — Dr Justine Johnston and Dr Fiona Long.

Breast Physicians are doctors who have an understanding of the different aspects of breast disease. They are skilled at assessing and treating symptoms, interpreting radiology, caring for patients who have had previous breast cancer, as well as diagnosing new cancers and ensuring a timely and smooth transition to the surgical pathway.

We wanted to reduce waiting times for our patients and offer a service to patients who do not need to see a breast surgeon specifically, but who may be complex enough to warrant review with a specialist breast physician. Our physicians share the same patient records as A/Prof Mak and Dr Graham, and communicate with them regarding cases on a regular basis.
